Assessing your school’s readiness for unexpected death or trauma is the cornerstone of safeguarding the well-being of your students, parents, and staff.

The TGS assessment provides a comprehensive view of your school and what level of preparedness you have. From there you can identify your needs services including training, grief resources, communication plans, policies and procedures as needed.

TGS offers a comprehensive assessment to ensure that your school is ready and prepared with the appropriate measures in place to mitigate the emotional, academic, and social disruption on students. We also meet the grief needs of your parents, staff and faculty and entire school environment.

The TGS assessment offers a thorough evaluation of your school’s preparedness level. We provide crucial insights to pinpoint necessary services such as training, grief resources, communication plans, and tailored policies and procedures to ensure your school is prepared for a wide range of unforeseen crises.

Our assessment process is structured into three phases:

Phase One: Comprehensive planning including defining goals, establishing timelines, and outlining our methodology.

Phase Two: Thorough assessment conducted to evaluate your school’s readiness and identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Phase Three: Presentation of assessment results along with tailored recommendations to enhance preparedness for unforeseen crises.

Our assessment covers essential topics critical to your school’s preparedness, including: structural evaluation, policy and procedure analysis, past trauma reviews, crisis and resource readiness assessments, grief and crisis training effectiveness, and engagement with community stakeholders. When appropriate, we also examine school documentation and compliance, and gather valuable feedback through surveys from students, parents, and staff to ensure comprehensive insights.

By methodically evaluating these key areas, your school can achieve a comprehensive assessment of its readiness to manage unexpected grief and trauma. This process empowers you to strengthen your preparedness and response capabilities effectively. Following the assessment, you will receive a detailed report highlighting your administration and school’s strengths, as well as pinpointing areas for improvement. This comprehensive feedback includes proactive recommendations tailored to each assessed area, which can be implemented independently or with support from Traumatic Grief Solutions to ensure your team and school are well-prepared.
